School's Out!

Carter completed kindergarten yesterday, and we celebrated by going to Pizza Hut last night. I think I enjoyed it more than anyone else because I didn't have to cook!!

We are three hours into the first day of summer vacation and so far no fighting! The boys are happily making crazy jets and ships out of legos at the kitchen counter. Earlier, they "babysat" Lewis, so I could shower in peace. For this they each earned one sticker which is a total of 25 cents out of my pocket. Well worth it, to not have a little boy in the bathroom with me, dumping the garbage and playing with all the used cutips (that's what he did yesterday).

The big plan for our first rainy summer day is to make a calendar counting down the days until the beginning of July when they get to see their cousins, Garrett and Ian, whom they miss like crazy!!

I am very happy to have all my boys home and I'm ready for warm weather for swimming, park hopping and spending time with our friends!

Harms Swordsmen

Corey made the boys some swords out of wood today. They have been battling each other this afternoon.
Owen is trying to chop the trees with his sword.

My Ebay - Disney Experiment

I have just surpassed the $500 mark in my Disney Vacation fund, and over 90% of that I have earned on EBAY!! My goal is to make enough money for our family to fly to Orlando and have a Disney dream vacation. It may take a few years, but I'm on my way!!

A Little Flip Action

The boys are very much enjoying the trampoline these days. Flipping is a favorite activity. Foot flips, knee flips, butt flips...we've got some acrobats in training.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

Lewis had his first birthday party. Grandma and Grandpa Harms, Grandma and Grandpa Nelson and Uncle Keith and Aunt Tomi came to celebrate. He ate some cake, but enjoyed his ice-cream much more. Grandma couldn't spoon it to him fast enough.
.
Look, Mom. No Hands! He started standing on his own the day before he turned one, and he is pretty proud of himself. He looks around the room for applause every time he stands up.
.
This little boy doesn't need anything. He's got plenty of hand-me-down clothes and toys. He loves these balls though. Playing catch is one of his favorite things to do. He also got a Leap Frog toy that sings the ABC song. He pushes the button over and over and over and "dances" to the music. It's very cute.

Hangin' Out in the Crib

Lewis wakes up almost unbearably early for a mom who likes her sleep. He's often up talking to himself very LOUDLY in his crib by about 6:15. I usually leave him in there until he starts complaining, but yesterday morning I heard the crib rail go down and then incessant giggling. I walked into his room and found Carter playing in the crib with him.

First T-ball Game

Have you ever seen a more handsome duo? Because the boys are so close in age, they are in the same league, and I was able to get them on the same team.
.

Owen was so excited about their first game, because they got "costumes." Corey had to explain to him that they are called uniforms. Whatever you want to call them, he's worn his to bed twice!

.

It looks like a nice sunny day, but it was actually freezing! Maybe 50 degrees and super windy. I came home with a windburned face. I caught Carter with a bubble in this pic.

Daddy's coaching Owen in the field.
