Transformer Heaven
Owen opened each of his 5 transformers gifts with just as much excitement as the one before. Now I am learning how to transform Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Jazz, Brawl and Arcee. The boys have them all figured out after a "Transformer Workshop" with Daddy. Owen sleeps with his Beloved Bumblebee most nights, and he lets Carter sleep with one of the other ones. Who needs teddy bears or blankies?
A little Transformer Trivia: True or False - There are girl Transformers. TRUE. The purple and black motorcycle Arcee is actually a female. The boys were the first to figure this out. She comes complete with a stylish haircut (can a robot have a stylish haircut?) and high heels.

Out of the Mouths of Babes
On the way to my folks over spring break, Carter randomly asked me, "Mom, why didn't Jesus have any girlfriends?" It amazes me how the wheels spin in his head. It was a great opportunity to talk to him again about God's purpose in sending his son to earth. To talk about his death and resurrection and why it was so important. And it was a great conversation to have just before Easter weekend. My boys had a great time hunting for eggs and eating candy, but I hope that they will grow more and more in understanding of the AWESOMENESS of the holiday, and what it means to and for them.
Hope you had a great Easter Weekend!

Watch Out World We Have A Crawler
It took more than 10 months for him to get sufficiently motivated to move forward, but Lewis has got the hang of it now. Instead of rolling and scooting backwards to get where he wants to go, he has mastered the art of crawling forward!

WELCOME MUD!
The Golden Rock
Owen buried a golden rock in our yard yesterday, and he says it's the kind that grows money. So we're thinking early retirement for Corey and a year of traveling around the world, followed by a life a leisure!! We should probably rethink selling our house too. We'd be crazy to sell property with a money growing rock on it.

Even Kids Get Sick of Snow
Carter and his friend Lucas went outside to play after school I asked Owen why he didn't want to go out with them. His reply,
"I decided I don't like Christmas (winter) very much anymore. On the first day of Christmas, I liked it, but I didn't know it was going to be this lllloooonnnggg!"

Some Humor from the Past
I got out the big boys baby books the other night to see when each of them started crawling. 10-month old Lewis has yet to attempt the skill, though he does make his way around a room in a round about sort of way. Carter was crawling at 9 months, Owen was 7 1/2 months. I love my content, laid back little guy. I thought I would try to encourage him to make a move by putting a stacking block tower out of his reach. He looked at it for a little bit, leaned forward, realized he couldn't reach it and looked for something else to do. He's such a funny little guy.
When I was looking through the boys books I found some funny stuff.
At 2-years-old, Owen got upset because the shirt I put on him was not the one he wanted to wear. Ever the fashion guru!!
At 2 1/2, he came into my room and woke me up early one morning and said, "I waked up. Can I be Robin? (As in Batman and Robin, he wanted to put on his costume.) He will be 5 in less than three weeks and this morning he had on his Optimus Prime costume. I wonder what he will want to wear when he is 16? He'll probably go to Prom as Darth Vader.
In Carter's book I found that when Owen was a baby he said to him, "Don't eat me. I'm not food. I'm a big boy."
