12 Years Old

What's wrong with this picture? ---blowing out imaginary candles.

Twelve words/phrases to describe my 12-year-old. FUNNY * QUIET (in a crowd) * SMART * GOOD FRIEND * LOVES BASKETBALL * LOVES FOOTBALL (watching) * DARING (when it comes to things like rollercoasters and cliffjumping) * OBEDIENT (most of the time) * SWEET TOOTH * GROWING TOO FAST * GOOD BIG BROTHER (though he's also excellent at pushing their buttons too) * ONE OF MY FOUR FAVORITE PEOPLE

Sky Zone. One of the boys' favorite places to spend an hour.

Two Harbors Breakwall

Nothing like watching my four boys skip rocks.

This camper is so wonderful! Hmmm....where should we go next year?

Checking out an ore boat.

How big of a splash will it make?

Superior Hiking Trail Backpacking Trip

Look at our cute little family at the Split Rock River Loop trailhead. Lewis was pretty excited to be carrying some our necessities in his backpack. He only let Corey carry it for him a few times when he was getting worn out.

Signing our names on the register.

 Those are my boys.

Carter "splitting the rock."

Setting up camp. The boys put up the tent all by themselves.

Filtering water from the river. Owen said he liked the taste of river water better than regular water.

We had a fabulous dinner of Mountain Meals. Chicken and Rice, Chicken Alfredo and mac n cheese. The way the boys devoured it, you'd have thought they were eating cotton candy for supper.

Someone fell in the river and had to have his skivvies dried over the fire.

Our camp.

When you are the baby of the family and are exhausted at the end of the trail, you get to ride on daddy's shoulders to the parking lot while your big brother carries your backpack.

It was a fun, but most definitely exhausting trip.

The Inside of our Camper

For those of you who are curious, these are pics of the inside of our new "vacation home." I loved the little pop-up camper, but this is pretty sweet. And it fits our ever growing family much better.

Pool Time

These boys are seriously blessed to have Corey Harms as a dad. I'm pretty sure he enjoys coming up with fun stuff for them to do as much as they enjoy taking part.
