Beautiful Baby

Bear with me as I celebrate 11 years of raising babies and mourn the coming end of an era. Aside from their papa, I love my boys more than anyone else in the world.

Preschool Graduation

Lewis told Miss Holly he wants to be a football player when he grows up.
Receiving his "diploma" from Miss Wendy. All three of my boys went to Miss Wendy's preschool and loved it.

500 Dresses

Since we are going to keep plugging away at making dresses for Haiti, I decided to start a 500 Dresses blog. I will try to keep it updated with plans, progress, etc. But right now, I'm taking a break from sewing. My mom is not, however. I think she already has several dresses ready for the next go around. Check out the blog here.

 Reiman Gardens

Time from Entrance to Boredom: 1/2 hour
(He was a little perplexed by this nature-filled place where he wasn't allowed to get in the water, catch tadpoles, collect stick and rocks....)
 Empty Creekbed
Cost: FREE
Time from entrance to boredom: Didn't happen. He could have stayed forever.

I think I'll be sticking with the free nature activities from now on.

500 Dresses

Some of you may not know I have another blog. It's a place where I don't shamelessly brag on my children (at least not as often.)

Check it out to see pictures of the 436 dresses/shorts that are heading to Haiti. And join my list of followers if you want to receive updates. I'd love to have you along for the ride.

5 Things About My 5-Year-Old

1. He loves to sing. My favorite songs are the ones he makes up when he's frustrated with life. He can be pretty hilarious.
.
2.  He changes his clothes about a dozen times a day, but somehow always seems to end up in the same one or two outfits when we go out in public. He's been known to wear the same clothes to preschool two days in a row. Maybe that should bother me more than it does :)
.
3.  He's fun. He loves to have fun, and he's fun to be around. Though he can be easily embarrassed and frustrated.
.
4. He's tall and skinny. At his 5 year check-up, I was surprised to find that he is in the 80% for height at 44 1/2 inches, and the 15% for weight at 36 pounds. Looks like I need to work on getting him to eat a little more.
.
5. He is a gift. After a miscarriage, some difficulty getting pregnant, a little scare during pregnancy and my longest labor which included a point when my blood pressure dropped down to some very scary low numbers, he is an incredible blessing. When he was a perfect little laidback happy baby, I used to think God may have sent me an angel. - I know better now. :)
