Sleep Always Makes the Time Pass Quickly

Sometimes the wait for Carter to get home from school just gets to be too long. It can make me very sleepy.

Pod Baby

Grandma Nelson found this pod for Lewis and he really likes it. Now that he is gaining control of hip upper-body, he wants to sit up all the time! The other night I got him out of his crib after he had been sleeping for a while, just so I could hold him and cuddle him. He generally will have none of that if he is awake. Oh I am not looking forward to the day that he becomes mobile. He'll never want to be held.

The Music Man

Owen LOVES music! Here he is listening to Corey's running music on the Ipod and trying to sing along with the lyrics. It was a riot!

"Dear Tooth Fairy....

...please leave lots of money. I lost my first tooth, and I pulled it out all by myself (that's gotta be worth something.)"
Carter lost his first tooth today, and we found out his good friend Joe down the street lost his first one this weekend too. I'm not sure how much money the tooth fairy leaves under pillows these days, but I'm sure it has increased since I was a kid. Grandpa Nelson said he thought it was probably $100. Wow! If that's the case, I'm gonna start pulling my teeth out.
It's Carter's day for show and tell tomorrow, so he's gonna take his tooth. It will be the first day of week 3 in school, and he has come a long way since the first day of school. I'm very proud of him.

Whistling Practice

"I've got the right fingers in there. Why can't I make a noise? Once I figure out how to whistle, I will be able to get my brothers' attention for sure!"

Smile Baby Smile

Is he cute or what!

On the Move

I wish I had a video camera in Baby Lewis' room. I went to check on him after he had been complaining in his bed for several minutes and found that he was turned the opposite direction of where he was when I put him down, and he was on his tummy. How did that happen? He never moves like that when I'm watching. (Then again I didn't see him put the DVD in the VCR either, but apparently he did that too according to Carter and Owen). No doubt he was trying to get away from the huge pile of spit-up under his head. Poor kid. So now, instead of being in bed where I would really like to be, I'm waiting for my baby to get drowsy again after his little incident.
