Kindergarten

Grandma Nelson and I took Owen and Lewis to a family bbq at Carter's school on Thursday. The boys had a great time playing on the playground together after lunch, and Carter got to show us his classroom. He wasn't even upset when we had to leave (though he did ask if he could come home with us). I think he has adjusted to the school scene.

Tummy Smile

Hello. My name is Lewis, and I am pretty proud of myself. I can roll over with the best of them. Now if I could only figure out how to get off of my tummy once I get here. Mom says she's not ready for that yet. Something about liking my immobility. I'm not going to pay any attention to her wishes though. I am ready to start trying to keep up with my big brothers.

5 Boys and an Empty Lot

Whatever will the neighborhood boys do when there are no more empty lots to play on? These guys are building "plantations" in the rocks. I don't know who came up with the idea, but Owen says he's building a "complication."

Face Plant

This carpet sure is yummy!
Lewis figured out how to roll over from his back to his tummy, but can't get back to his back yet. I know this is opposite of how kids usually learn to roll over, but Mr. Lewis has always hated being on his tummy (probably because 95% of the time he ends up in a pile of spit up). He is a spitter like big brother Carter was. So the last couple days have consisted of Lewis rolling to his tummy, licking whatever surface he is on for a while, and then getting mad because he can't roll back over. This is a bummer at naptime and at 3:00 in the morning!

Bedtime Story

Corey always reads a Bible story to the boys at bedtime, and we recently added Lewis to the mix, so I had to take a picture.

Sleep Always Makes the Time Pass Quickly

Sometimes the wait for Carter to get home from school just gets to be too long. It can make me very sleepy.

Pod Baby

Grandma Nelson found this pod for Lewis and he really likes it. Now that he is gaining control of hip upper-body, he wants to sit up all the time! The other night I got him out of his crib after he had been sleeping for a while, just so I could hold him and cuddle him. He generally will have none of that if he is awake. Oh I am not looking forward to the day that he becomes mobile. He'll never want to be held.
