No cake this year. It was Perkins French Silk Pie. Yum!
Carter had his buddy Josiah over on his birthday. I think we're gonna have a little Avengers movie night belated party when that comes out on DVD.
I usually write a list of things about my children on their birthdays. More and more I am seeing his daddy's personality come out in Carter's 11-year-old body, so I'm just going to share a couple stories that I think have "Corey" written all over them. You can decide if you share my opinion.
1. About a month ago he had someone (I'll keep the victim's name private) convinced that there is a country named For, and if you look for it on a map, you'd find it right between Hungary and Turkey. How can he do things like that without cracking up?
2. Corey was backpacking in Wyoming last week, and one night after I had put the kids to bed, Carter snuck out of his room and hid beside the pantry. As I walked past, he jumped out at me. I about peed my pants. His dad was so proud. :)
3. He asked for French Silk Pie for his birthday.
Carter is still a wonderful, quiet but incredibly funny guy. He can smell sugar a mile away, he loves to pick on his brothers, he can shoot hoops for hours and he can't wait for the NFL season to start.
