If my calculations are right, we just returned from our 9th trip to the Dells. It is such a nice break from normal life in the middle of the winter! This year will be remembered for snow, ice, waterparks and babies.
Our adventure began when our alarm went off at 2:30 am on Sunday. We had to leave super early to beat the ice-storm out of town. We arrived at the Dells at 8:00 am. Check-in was at 4:00. So what do you do when you have time to kill? We scoured the movie section at Wal-Mart and turned the van into a movie theatre. We put the seats down and watched Real Steel. They let us use the resort facilities at noon, so we killed a few hours playing in on a giant playset and playing some mini-golf.
Lewis and Luke had a ball together.
Carter and Owen's favorite water activities were the wave pool and the pool with the basketball hoop. They like the slides too, but they spent a lot more time in the pools.
That little blip in this photo is Lewis running down the hall. We had to walk down three halls like this and a very long skywalk to get to the waterpark. It's about a half-mile walk. We figure we walked/ran 3 miles per day.

A snowstorm extended our stay a bit too. Instead of leaving in the morning on Wednesday, we stuck around until suppertime. The boys were sooooo sad we didn't stay another night, but I have to say it was nice waking up in my own bed this morning.
