There's a new girl in town, and she has been a recent object of jealousy in my life. She is a beauty, and she steals the stage each night at VBS. I'm talking about a shiny new 24 (?) foot train that overtook my garage and my husband's spare time this last month. Between building it, painting it and driving it around on a trailer on the back of his truck to get video footage for VBS skits, the "Boomerang Express" is getting more quality time with him than me, and I can handle that temporarily, but that doesn't mean I'm not jealous.
Don't get me wrong, VBS has been wonderful, and the dramas have been a hit! The kids love it, and are excited to go each night. The gospel message is clearly presented. There are lots of people loving on my kids. That makes me happy. But the train. Oh, the train...Let's just say, once it leaves the station, I don't want to see it again.
