A New Pet?

"Mom, what should we do with a snake?" said Carter as he came in the front door today.
.
A snake. I'll tell you what to do with a snake. Get it as far away from me as humanly possible. That's what I was thinking, but what I did was quite the opposite. I actually gave up one of my large plastic storage bins for the boys to turn into a snake habitat. If they were set on keeping the slithery thing, I sure didn't want it in the ice-cream pail that it could easily get out of. I wanted it in something deep, with a lid. Corey cut out of hole in the lid and replaced it with a screen, and the snake is now living in my garage. Yuck! It makes my toes tingle just thinking about it. But the boys are pretty excited (Owen loves to let it crawl around on him) and he's been eating toads, so I guess if I look at the bright side, at least it's cutting down on the toad population in my garage.
